Why does Launch cost a little more? It includes a personalized web address and a business email inbox, which we buy, set up and renew for you. Upgrade customers already have both.

All sales final. We start the moment your order comes in, and the web address and email we set up for Launch customers can’t be refunded to us, so we can’t offer refunds either. Plans renew automatically each year; we email you 30 days before, and you can cancel any time. See our terms.

Pricing questions

Does every business pay the same price?

Yes. Every business on the same plan pays the same published price, whether you’re a brand-new food truck or a shop that’s been on Main Street for forty years. No quotes to haggle over, and no surprises.

I already pay for Wix, Squarespace or GoDaddy. Is this more?

Probably less. Most of those plans cost $200–450 a year, and you do all the work. With SmartSites you pay $99 a year after the first, and we make your changes for you.

Will I lose my web address or email if I upgrade?

No. You keep both. We only change the settings that point your web address to your new site. Your email isn’t touched.

What if I want to leave later?

No problem. Just cancel before your renewal date, and we’ll send you a copy of your website files so you can host them anywhere. If you kept your own web address, it was always yours. If we set one up for you, it’s registered to us and expires when your plan ends, and we’ll give you time to save your email first.

What counts as an update?

One round of changes sent together, like new holiday hours and a new photo in the same email.
